About PETG

Tougher and more heat resistant than PLA, food-contact grades exist, strings more. Bonds strongly to smooth PEI.

Getting good results with Prusament PETG

  • Start near the middle of the range (245°C) and print a temperature tower to find your printer's sweet spot.
  • Faster printing needs a hotter nozzle; slow, detailed prints look best near the low end of the range.
  • No enclosure needed; keep part cooling on after the first few layers.
  • Dry it (65°C for 4 h) if you hear popping, see extra stringing, or the surface turns rough.

Plan a print with the print cost calculator or convert meters to grams with the filament converter. Always check the label on your spool, since makers update their recommendations.
