About Nylon
Very tough and wear resistant but absorbs moisture fast. Dry it and print from a dry box.
Getting good results with Polymaker PA6-CF
- Start near the middle of the range (290°C) and print a temperature tower to find your printer's sweet spot.
- Faster printing needs a hotter nozzle; slow, detailed prints look best near the low end of the range.
- Use an enclosure and keep drafts away to prevent warping and layer splits.
- Dry it (80°C for 12 h, print from a dry box) if you hear popping, see extra stringing, or the surface turns rough.
Plan a print with the print cost calculator or convert meters to grams with the filament converter. Always check the label on your spool, since makers update their recommendations.
