About PLA
Easiest to print, low warp, rigid. Softens around 55–60°C, so it is a poor choice for hot cars or outdoor sun.
Getting good results with Bambu Lab PLA Matte
- Start near the middle of the range (210°C) and print a temperature tower to find your printer's sweet spot.
- Faster printing needs a hotter nozzle; slow, detailed prints look best near the low end of the range.
- No enclosure needed; keep part cooling on after the first few layers.
- Dry it (55°C for 8 h) if you hear popping, see extra stringing, or the surface turns rough.
Plan a print with the print cost calculator or convert meters to grams with the filament converter. Always check the label on your spool, since makers update their recommendations.
